Can you call an apple fritter a work of art? Is a maple-bacon doughnut a masterpiece? If you’ve tasted either from Kim’s Donuts in Evans, your answer will be a resounding “yes.”
Sok Proeun opened the doughnut shop in early 2012 and there has been a line out the door ever since. He named the shop after his mother, Kim Proeun, who helped launch the store by investing in the business and spreading the word about her son’s doughnut enterprise.
Proeun creates his yeast-style doughnuts from scratch each morning, topping them with a colorful array of glazes, icings, sprinkles—even popular breakfast cereals.
