Publisher’s Notes

In 2015, I had the pleasure of meeting 10 individuals who were chosen by a committee of leaders in our community to be the Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch. These young people were emerging as the next group of leaders that would ascend to new heights in their respective professions.

Every year, the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Augusta Magazine, highlights 10 young professionals who have made and will continue to make significant strides in their professions, but more importantly in our community.  This year’s group is no exception. We invite you to learn more about the winners beginning on page 46.

Later this month, we will honor these leaders at a luncheon. Be sure to check the chamber website for more information as event details unfold.

Also in this issue, we sit down with Eric Parker and Grace Belangia to discuss theClubhou.se — 10 years later. The organization was the brainchild of Parker in an effort to  put Augusta back on the map as an economic powerhouse. A decade later, it has assisted many entrepreneurs and served as a hub for local business and technology.

Lastly, as a foodie, I enjoy frequenting local eateries in the Augusta/Aiken area. Although going out is more of a privilege these days as the mom of a busy tween, I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed with any dining experience at a Frog Hollow Hospitality Group establishment. So, I cannot wait for the evening when I am lucky enough to visit Pho-Ramen’l … and I am anxiously awaiting the opening of TacoCat, later this month, for my next girls’ night out (mother/daughter style)!
