Georgia may top the list of “least quit-friendly states,” according to a report from the American Lung Association, but the local community is doing its part to support tobacco cessation.
Looking to quit? University Health Care System offers free FreshStart tobacco cessation classes every month. The four-week sessions, which take place Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. in the University Hospital Cafeteria, are sponsored by the American Cancer Society and led by University Hospital instructors in a supportive group environment.
