Aiken writer, Augusta Magazine contributor and native Aikenite, Stephen Delaney Hale, presents his editorial picks for the “Best of Aiken,” a tradition he has kept for more than 12 years. The list is completely subjective and typically hashed out over afternoon libations with a handful of Hale’s fellow Aiken enthusiasts. It’s all in good fun, but always includes some of the best events, people, food and locales that give Aiken its charming and unique flavor.
