Purses for a Purpose

The Jessye Norman School of the Arts “Purses for a Purpose” was held on March 13. The event featured both live and silent auctions of exquisite purses, including some donated by national celebrities. There was also a public donation of more than 100 new and gently used purses to the Salvation Army’s Center for Hope, in support of women entering or reentering the workforce. Money raised will go toward the long-term goal of building a kitchen for the school.
